Bone China and Mould Making Masterclasses 2025
I will be running 16 exclusive one-to-one Masterclasses (over 2 days) in 2025.
These are held in my studio in Wiltshire during the months of April, June, September, October and November.
The Masterclass content includes:
A general introduction to plaster model and mould making, including turning a model on a plaster-turning lathe and then moulding it.
There will be introductory demonstrations covering plaster weighing and mixing, lathe turning for model making, drop-out mould making with reservoir rings and the option to make a lidded container or handles.
There is also the chance to do some casting experiments and water erosion decoration with bone china if desired, plus firing cycles for bone china and ‘settering’ will be explained. The finished fired pieces will be sent to you after the course.
Those who have previously done a course can follow their own project after discussion prior to the course.
