Bone China and Mould Making Masterclasses 2026
I will be running 12 exclusive one-to-one Masterclasses (over 2 days) in 2026.
These are held in my studio in Wiltshire during the months of April, May, June, July and September.
The Masterclass content includes:
A comprehensive introduction to plaster model and mould making. Participants will learn how to turn a model on a plaster-turning lathe and use it to create a mould.
Introductory demonstrations will cover plaster weighing and mixing, lathe turning for model making, and drop-out mould making using reservoir rings. Participants will also have the option to make either a lidded container or handles.
There will be opportunities to explore casting experiments and water-erosion decoration using bone china, if desired. Firing cycles for bone china and the process of settering will be explained. Finished, fired pieces will be sent to participants after the course.
Participants who have previously attended a course may develop their own project, subject to discussion prior to the masterclass.
